Caller ID behaviour depends on destination network and local law. Voniq offers anonymous calling by default and custom caller ID on Pro and Enterprise.

  1. 1

    Default: anonymous

New accounts place outbound calls with anonymous caller ID unless you change it. Recipients may see Unknown, Private, or a generic label depending on their carrier.

  2. 2

    Enable custom caller ID

Pro and Enterprise users open Dashboard → Calls → Settings. Choose Custom caller ID and enter your number. Save settings before placing the next call.

  3. 3

    What recipients see

Not all networks display custom numbers. Mobile and landline behaviour differs by country. We cannot guarantee your chosen number will appear everywhere.

  4. 4

    Legal use only

Do not impersonate banks, police, emergency services, or other people. Abuse leads to immediate termination and may be reported to law@voniq.cc.

  5. 5

    Troubleshooting

If caller ID stopped updating, re-save settings and re-register your softphone. Check our status page for Custom Caller ID service health.
